15 countries, almost half a thousand drawings, these are the numbers of this second edition of the EXPOCHESS drawing contest, a great success thanks to the participating countries and collaborators!

This year the theme was again Chess and international culture (children of the world), with 2 ranks: from 6 to 9 years and from 10 to 14 years.

The awards are an illustration of Georgina Salazar and a photograph of Alejandro Rodriguez Venegas from our art gallery made for the exhibition of the EXPOCHESS CHILDREN OF THE WORLD 2017 festival.

In this second edition of the festival it seems that the great champion comes from the Asian continent, Nepal has win in both ranks (we remember that they also won the II International Solidary Chess Tournament), we can only surrender to the great level and art shown by the kids of Umesh KC उमेश केसी. But without detracting from the rest of the children of the world, because as the jury said, it was very difficult to define the winner for the great level shown by all, we have good artists for our future!

With the experience gained from the International EXPOCHESS Painting Contests organized in previous festivals, we organized the II International Children's Drawing Contest EXPOCHESS CHILDREN OF THE WORLD, in which children from the countries participating in the festival take part.

Children from 6 to 14 years old (2 age ranges, from 6 to 9 and from 10 to 14 years old) from 15 countries and with almost 500 thousand drawings participated. The thematic was CHESS, CHILDREN OF THE WORLD (Social Chess), with free technical and in A3 or A4 format.

The selected works there are exhibited at the Gran Hotel Lakua (Vitoria-Gasteiz) during the third part of the festival and each participating country will have the option to use them as decoration during the tournament matches, as in the closing lunch/dinner.
