I Chess and Culture World Tour EXPOCHESS

EXPOCHESS “Chess and Art of the World” is a current project which embraces global culture. With a well-defined growth vocation, this project has presence in eight countries and several exhibitions and many other countries will take part of this initiative soon.

This international project shows and promotes the chess culture through a painstaking selection of drawings from different countries where the artists transmit common values to our project.

The arts of the world united with Chess
In this way, they gather from drawings to woodcuts, paintings, photographs, illustrations, serigraphs, figures, music... All this material united in one is the great potential that this project intends to spread throughout the world.

Venezuela, the beggining of the World Tour
The project will begin on April 26 in Cumaná, a beautiful city of Venezuela where Alejandro Venegas, photographer of the project, is coming after a magnificent exhibition at the EXPOCHESS CHILDREN OF THE WORLD 2017. In the event there will be different recreational activities with the II International Children's Drawing Contest and will have as main activity an art exhibition with chess as the main theme; It will be open to the public until May 10.

We currently have several confirmed countries and more than ten cities. We have closed dates for this year and even for 2019; we talk about a project that, in less than three months, has aroused great enthusiasm and relevance worldwide.

It should be added that in this project we maintain the objective of solidarity that has characterized us in previous festivals such as the CHILDREN OF THE WORLD in 2016 and 2017, and we collaborate with solidarity projects in several countries such as Venezuela, Botswana, Uganda, Nepal...
