2018/06/15

Venezuela has been the first country to host the activities of EXPOCHESS "Chess and art of the world" being the first participant of our First World Art and Culture Tour. This event was held in the halls of Cacao Café in Cumaná, Sucre state, Venezuela from April 26 to May 26, 2018.

The inauguration was attended by personalities from the world of culture and art, such as Carlos Arenas, Zailé Palacios and Hector Granados. The media were represented, among others, by Mayber Márquez and Glenn Lugo; an event attended by numerous public art and culture lovers.

The success of EXPOCHESS VENEZUELA has been possible thanks to the collaboration of the Venezuelan photographer Alejandro Venegas (our representative in Venezuela) and his team of collaborators. Alejandro, in his collection "La Dama", has managed to combine the sunsets of intense colors and paradisiacal beaches of Cumana with the spirit of chess; highlighting the black and white photographs that show a woman who carries chess in the soul.

The “Colectivo Cuarto de Luna” of Mexico, enriched the Venezuelan exhibition with a collection of photographs of great quality and beauty that brought to the exhibition the sublime art of the Mexicans.

The finishin touch of the exhibition was the choice of the rooms of the Cacao Café of Cumaná; a space imbued with art and culture, visited by artists, writers, poets, musicians and prominent people of the city.

"Art should always be used as a method of teaching and education, that's why it should be supported " (Alejandro Venegas).
